The collaboration between the two companies has made it possible to save 392 food packs from going to waste, amounting to 980 kilos and equivalent to preventing the emission of more than 10,000 kg of CO₂eq. That’s the equivalent of 173,459 mobile phone charges!

Haven’t you heard of the Too Good To Go app yet? Every day, one of our hotels puts together packs containing food that hasn’t been eaten. Users book them, pay via the app and collect them from the hotel at the specified time.

Eight hotels in Palma de Mallorca are taking part in the Too Good to Go initiative, and we would like to highlight the excellent work of the Hotel HM Jaime III Paseo Mallorca, which has achieved a food savings rate of 63.64 per cent. Nevertheless, in order to monitor and reduce the amount of food waste, all HM Hotels & Resorts establishments keep a detailed record of the untouched food that is thrown away.

This initiative also assesses the user experience, which has been improving throughout the year. We currently have a customer rating of 3.85 out of 5. The reviews particularly highlight the quality and value of the packs, as well as the friendliness of our staff.

This partnership demonstrates our commitment to tackling food waste, which is one of our objectives within the “The PLANet by HM Hotels & Resorts” project.
